Ignoring the "Gold Mine" in the Drug War!!
Some White film-maker is on the T.V. hyping his film to "expose" the failures of the War on Drugs; begun some three decades ago by Mad Ronnie Reagan and other Republicans. Where was he (probably in diapers?) when Ollie North appeared before Congressional Committees with pages missing from his log book that implicated the CIA in dealing drugs in Los Angeles in support of Central America Wars in places like Nicaragua and El Salvador?
He wants the viewers of his film to believe that the new initiatives by President Obama and Attorney General Holder to draw our attention to the failures of the War on Drugs will relieve the Police of "distractions" caused by drug-dealing on our streets. Where was he when Nancy Reagan grabbed the media spotlight, along with "Mr. T", as Swat Teams dramatically busted into Drug Dens? Where is the follow-up of the money trail leading to Idaho, and retired cops, among others, who've amassed fortunes selling confiscated drugs? Why has the Christopher Commission's report on corruption of the LAPD been "buried"? Corruption and MONEY are synonymous!
Could it be that now, when whites are losing their "asses" in record numbers; as the "1%" throws them under the bus, they NOW are aware of corruption and other costs of the Drug War? And, to its overall "FAILURE"?? Gimme Me A Break! The expect the general public to fall for just about anything. I guess it never occurred to them that there was something strange about all those black and brown people in prisons in this country. I guess they think those people are in jail so the rest of the public can "entertain" themselves by watching them on television! I wonder if the "Prison Industry" sells access for "content" to the Cable Industry? More 21st Century "Jim Crow"?
Stay Vigilant! Ask the Republicans if this is their way of "creating jobs" as they promised in 2010??
